Title A Korean national’s eligibility for non-workplace-based HI coverage

Question As Korean national residing overseas, I’ve been insured by the workplace-based HI scheme. However, I’d like to register with the non-workplace-based HI scheme. What procedures should I follow to be insured by the latter scheme? Is any residence report card required?
An insured migrant (or migrant beneficiary/insurant) who wants to register with the non-workplace HI scheme should submit a relevant application (including a copy of his/her certificate of alien registration or residence report card) to a NHIC (National Health Insurance Corporation) branch office with jurisdiction. (Contact the NHIC at 1577-1000 for more details.)
